Lung Function is formulated to provide the necessary precursors that will allow the horse’s own ability to heal the damage and focus nutritional support on lung function for the proper regulation of pulmonary pressure within the lungs, while increasing elasticity in the capillaries. Lung Function formula is best used for support for coughs, mild breathing issues, and lung function. We also offer a COPD formula. Recommendations for Horses in Heavy Training: Horses shouldn’t race for 4-6 weeks in order to give capillaries time to heal. (Step 1) Dosing for those 4-6 weeks: administer 2 level scoops for 10 days, then 1 scoop thereafter everyday for those 4-6 weeks that the horse is not training or racing. It is okay to jog, or walk horse, but not to the point where the horse is sweating. (Step 2) Dosing when your horse starts racing: After the recommended 4-6 weeks of everyday dosing, administer 2 level scoops two days before the race, and 2 level scoops after the race. Repeat (Step 2) dosing instructions every time your horse races.
